How often to replace the Aussie Hose

Postby rise&shiner on Thu Nov 19, 2009 10:34 am

My insurance company agreed to pay out of network towards my purchase of an aussie hose but I want to know how long these hoses last before I make the outlay of cash.

They are quite durable and should last for years if not abused. I would suggest getting a quick disconnect so that you don't have to repeatedly connect and disconnect the hose from your mask. It is also a very good idea to use an elbow to connect it to your CPAP, my Aussie Heated hose came with an elbow.

My original Aussie hose is nearing three years old and has been used year 'round. The hose was purchased before they shipped a power supply with them. I had to buy the power supply and adapter from Radio Shack. I bought a backup Aussie last year and use it when I travel. I have been well pleased with how well the Aussie has held up. The Fischers are great people to deal with.

Thanks so much this puts my mind at ease about buying the aussie.
